So my boss emailed me the below and I just had to share it… LMAO – Good One Boss!!!

I am often asked, “Why are you single?” or even worse, “Why are you STILL single?” and if a guy is asking me this question, it is ALWAYS followed up with, “What’s wrong with you?”…
Yes, I’m single… (still single?) “SO WHAT!”… AND nothing is wrong with me!!!
Okay, a little background… I have been single a long long long time… In the past ten years I have only had one serious relationship that lasted a little over a year, around year 2006… In my late teens early twenties, I was in a relationship for about two to three years… and before that I was with my high school sweetheart from freshman year, through graduation, some college – all in all, about 6 years – and probably and ironically the most adult relationship to date… But we’re not here to discuss my relationships… LOL…
Back to being single… In my early twenties = people’s responses were complimentary… “oh your young,” they’d say, or “good for you” … then in my late twenties = people began telling me things like “you gotta get out there more often” and “you ain’t getting any younger” … Now that I am in my early thirties, thirty-two to be exact, people just respond puzzled and confused along with the questions/comments outlined in the first paragraph…
I DON’T GET IT!!! … You would think that this day and age (no pun intended) that being single and in your thirties is not such a big deal… but apparently, by the way people, including family and friends, give me such grief about it – it makes being thirty something and single only an “ideal” situation – in the idea sense…
Here is my frustration… If I was a guy and thirty-two, I would not get this kind of treatment… Why is that?!? … Why is it ok for a guy to be a bachelor well into his wrinkles if he wants to, but something is considered “wrong” if a gal is single a long time??!?…
Don’t get me wrong here… I am a girlie girl and would love to have a special someone in my life someday… But they have to be that “special someone”… And until I meet the right person… I will be “SINGLE“… AND ENJOYING IT TOO!!!
